Hi! If you’ve made it this far, you might have already seen my resume, but this page is a quick refresher!
My most recent experience was as a Social Media Coordinator at Spinrite LP, and I worked there from March 2022-January 2025. I succeeded in gaining the main Yarnspirations Instagram account over 200k followers, implemented different social media strategies and kept on top of the constantly changing algorithms. This position required a keen eye for detail, a creative mind, and an in-depth knowledge of our consumers and our crafts.
Between November 2021 and March 2022, I took a SEO and WordPress Support role with the Van Patter Group, a boutique agency operating out of the Cambridge area and focused on delivering quality digital marketing strategy to small business clients. While this was a short contract, I was able to deliver strong results with several clients SEO, using the tools and resources available to optimize their sites behind the scenes, and increasing their Web scores and ranking by 3-5%.
In May of 2021, I took on the role of Email Marketing Specialist at Fresh City Farms, while I learned a lot about email implementation, customization, and mailing lists, this position was not the right fit for me, and I left in September of 2021.
Prior to the pandemic, I began work at Seradex, an ERP company that specialized in creating specialized software for the cabinet-making industry, and other small manufacturing enterprises across Canada and The United States. In this role, I wrote and edited white papers, designed brochures, created website content, and built programs and processes for future marketing endeavours. I also supported their sister non-profit MTECHhub, which was dedicated to connecting small manufacturing businesses in Ontario with SMART tools such as AI, BlockChain, VR, and more.
In 2018, I worked with the company Forming Technologies Inc. as they began a rebrand to fit the standards of their new parent company Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence. I was in charge of implementing and championing this rebrand across all fronts, making sure that everything from pens, to invoices, to tradeshow booths and brochures had the new branding. I also created several articles and white papers to be published on the website, and in trade specific magazines.
Right after graduating in 2017, I had the amazing opportunity to be a social media coordinator at Mohawk College. While this role was a junior position, I created high quality and high performing content for the college, answered student and community questions, and highlighted the achievements of faculty, staff, students and partnerships.
About me personally
4. Things you need to know about me:
1. I love to craft and be creative. I usually bring a knitting, crochet or cross stitch project with me wherever I go, and if you ask really nicely I might make you something!
2. I am well versed in pop culture, including super hero movies, cartoons, and science fiction shows. While this has come up very sparingly in my career and projects, sometimes it has come in handy!
3. I cook and bake! I’m always looking up new recipes or trying out new things to bring to potlucks and holiday parties (Stuffed Mushrooms are my specialty).
4. I have a miniature dachshund dog named Eevee, and she’s my best buddy. While she’s still working on being socialized, she’s very sweet and loves people.
